Helping Westpac New Zealand achieve its service vision

Westpac New Zealand serves more than 1.3 million customers in personal and business banking across New Zealand. Through the transformation of its 150-plus branches, Westpac aims to become ‘one of the world’s great service companies’.

The Challenge: To develop a multivendor ATM software solution to create a platform for Westpac New Zealand's rapid self-service growth at the ATM.

KAL's Audrey Priami, pictured, was chairman on the opening day of the conference, which featured a KAL booth showcasing its multivendor ATM software that enables banks to transform branch operations, reduce costs and improve their customers' ATM experience.

 There was also a demonstration of how KAL's RTM (Retail Teller Machine) can be used to automate transactions typically done over the counter and enable new, advanced services.

Topics under the spotlight at the event included digital banking, big data, biometric identification and mobile banking,

KAL success at ATMIA and RBR conference

KAL’s presentation on cashless ATMs was well received at the recent ATMIA and RBR Southeast Asia ATMs 2016 Conference in Bangkok, which attracted around 100 bankers from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Myanmar. 

The talk, entitled Cash and More – Pushing the Limits of Cashless ATMs, was given by KAL’s Sharath Padmalochanan and Marga Estebanlar, the director, sales and marketing officer for ENCASH, Philippines.

Marga spoke about the RTM experience in the Philippines and new features for the future. Sharath focused on the role of RTMs in branch transformation.
